Emergency Software Recovery

Step Action

1. Unplug the device from your computer and close Smart Switch. Then, restart it.
2. Select 'MORE → Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization' in the top right of Smart Switch.
   
3. Select a device to restore from the list of devices that require emergency recovery.
   
4. Read the information and select OK.
   

Emergency Software Recovery from Another Computer

Step Action

1. In the computer with the error, select 'MORE → Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization' in Smart Switch and check the information provided.
2. Please write down the emergency recovery code in order to use it for another computer.
   
3. In another computer, select 'MORE → Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization' in Smart Switch.
   
4. Select 'Emergency recovery using the recovery code'.
   
5. Enter the recovery code.
   
6. Read the information and select OK.
   

Troubleshooting device recognition errors

Step Action

[Solution 1] Retry Update

1. Disconnect the mobile device from the computer, and then remove and reinsert the battery.
2. Press the power button.
3. Make sure that the mobile device is on.
4. Reconnect the mobile device to the cable and start the update.

[Solution 2] Update via a different USB Port

1. Disconnect the mobile device from the computer, and then remove and reinsert the battery.
2. Press the power button.
3. Make sure that the mobile device is on.
4. Connect the mobile device to a different USB port, and then start the update.

[Solution 3] Update after reinstalling the device driver

1. Disconnect the mobile device from the computer, and then remove and reinsert the battery.
2. Press the power button.
3. Make sure that the mobile device is on.
4. Select 'MORE → Reinstall device driver' in Smart Switch.



5. After the device driver has been installed, start the update.
